I finally did it. I have started a blog. Honestly, it was time. If you ask my friends they'll tell you that nearly every third sentence out of my mouth sounds something like, "....so I saw on a blog...." Also, in the interest of full disclosure, I have been known to describe some of the bloggers I read daily as "friends."
So here goes nothing.
My husband and I recently purchased our very first DSLR camera (AKA, a nice one that makes me look like I know what I'm doing). Here's hoping I can figure out the thing out so I can actually document some of the goings on here in noob-land. Oh yeah, I guess I should also take a quick sec to explain "noob." One of my favorite YouTubers, Arturo Trejo, brought the term to my attention. It's a nerdy, World of Warcraft term that means "newbie." It's now one of my favorite words and describes pretty much all of my endeavors---hence "Pardon the Noob."
I will leave you with photographic evidence that in addition to learning that the fancy camera I bought is called a DSLR, I also learned a little bit about aperture.
There you have it, my friends. Two loves: aperture (ahh, the blurry background is so nice) and the first peony blooms on a bush that I planted in the fall of 2010. I'm sure I'm not the first person to say this, but gardening and patience go hand-in-hand. Waiting two years for a couple blooms on a bush= good times.
